Sd1. Steam Jet Syphons

Steam Jet Siphons use steam as a motive force to mix and pump liquids.

They are normally used for handling corrosive or slurry liquids. Steam Jet Siphons are best used where heating is required as the steam condenses when contacting with liquids.

Steam Jet Siphons consist of an expanding nozzle, a diffuser and a body.

The steam issuing from the nozzle creates vacuum in the body to pumping the liquid and discharged against back pressure.

Several uses of Steam jet Siphons include the pumping of liquids from the tank or pit, transportation of juices at canning factories, supplying of hot water to the jackets, removing of sludge from the oil storage tank.
